skin salve!
This remarkably useful product contains calendula (Calendula officinalis) and chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) blossoms from our gardens infused in all-natural olive and grapeseed oils. Both calendula and chamomile are gentle and soothing to irritated or inflamed skin. Calendula has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties, making it a wonderful choice for conditions such as athlete’s foot and diaper rash. The calendula and chamomile oils are blended together and thickened into a salve using local beeswax from B-Line apiaries in Hudson, New Hampshire. This beeswax not only works well, but also smells absolutely wonderful! What a difference happy bees make. Finally, I add a touch of rosemary essential oil and vitamin E oil (a natural preservative that’s good for you skin, too!).
